The Davis family trucking journey currently spans 3 generations.

Starting with Dan Davis Sr. back in the early 1960s. Dan's boys, Danny Jr and his two brothers, idolized their truck driving dad. The three of them would wait anxiously every year for their school years to end so they could spend their summers taking turns going on the road with their dad. Dan Sr was a long-haul coast to coast owner operator whose career spanned over 50 years. Throughout that time, he had proudly accrued a legacy of over 5 million accident-free miles resulting in numerous safe driving awards. Over his long career, he taught his boys exactly what it meant to be hardworking, safe, courteous and professional truck drivers as well as being great dads and family men. He taught them the importance of family including how to be great husbands to their wife's and fathers to their kids. Lessons that they all continue to utilize to this day.

 

Following him was Danny Davis Jr. Danny learned how to drive a tractor trailer at a young age from his hero Dan Sr. Eventually starting his own driving career back in 1990 as a professional OTR truck driver at the age of 21. Danny took great pride in being able to join his dad, Dan Sr, on the road and to be able to put to work all of the lessons and training he received from his dad over the years. Danny Jr later acquired his own operating authority and founded Davis Truck Service in 1998. DTS is still owned and operated by Danny Jr and his wife Wendy. Danny and Wendy Davis have always taken great pride in the business that they have built over the years along with and alongside all four of their boys, as well as their extended family of amazing professional drivers!

Daniel Davis III and his younger brother Jake began working in the shop at DTS when they were just young boys. Learning the importance of good maintenance to a successful trucking company at an early age. Daniel and Jake both obtained their CDL's when they turned 18 and began driving for DTS as well, eventually becoming owner/operators for the company. Titles they maintain to this day along with their tremendous contributions and efforts behind the scenes assisting their parents with the daily operating of Davis Truck Service. Later, following in the family tradition, their younger brothers Josh and Joey would also earn their CDL's and drive for the family business as well. Josh currently still drives as a company driver for DTS and Joey works primarily in the office dispatching their exceptional team of drivers.

 

Family and relationships are extremely important to the Davis family. Together they have established 3 generations of experience and well over 10 million safe miles traveled!
